LEGAL AID DEALS WITH CRISES EVERYDAY
HELP US FIGHT FOR OUR CLIENT'S BASIC NEEDS!
HELP US FIGHT FOR OUR CLIENT'S BASIC NEEDS!
Help Us Help Rockland's Most Vulnerable!
Dear Neighbor,
The United Way of New York State’s 2023 ALICE Report revealed that 39% or nearly 102,609 of our Rockland County neighbors either live in poverty or have a household income below the level needed to afford necessities. Many of our friends, family members and colleagues are part of the 39% and are one emergency away from bankruptcy, eviction, homelessness, or food insecurity.
For Rockland seniors on a fixed income, single parents, and families who were struggling prior to the pandemic, the cost of living has only increased as housing prices and the costs of necessities have skyrocketed.
Help us continue the fight for the 39% by supporting the important work we do at Legal Aid!
Together we can keep children and families out of homeless shelters, ensure parents and seniors the capacity to put food on the table and pay for necessities, and assure that Rockland’s children have their voices heard in Family Court.
On behalf of our clients, staff, and board of directors, the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County thanks you for continuing to support the work that we are doing during this time of uncertainty.
Sincerely,
Alexander Bursztein
Executive Director
